Dr Alex Grech
Alex Grech has 30 years’ experience in business strategy and change management. After completing his accountancy articles, he held senior management positions in the European HQs of IPSA Reuters and Hitachi Data Systems. Alex was an advisor within the Office of the Prime Minister of Malta under different administrations; and Director Strategic Business Development of Go during the successful IPO on the LSE. He is the founding Chairman of Heritage Malta and founding editor of “Technology Sunday”, the technology supplement for the Times of Malta. Alex is currently the national expert on EU working groups on ICT in education and the future of higher education, and a senior advisor to the Ministry of Education on digital pedagogies and online learning.
Alex has a PhD in Internet Computing from the University of Hull, and his research interests are in digital citizenship, social media and power. He is a Visiting Senior Lecturer in Digital Strategy at the University of Malta and an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Hull.
Alex is also an alumni of Rheingold U, the online learning community of internet visionary Howard Rheingold.

Liz Ayling
Liz Ayling is a communications specialist of over 25 years with a strong analytical and research background. She is an experienced journalist, editor, trainer and copywriter. In our network, Liz’s prime role is managing web content projects, handing architecture and content delivery for both large, complex sites as well as SMEs and solopreneurs. She has particular experience in delivering WordPress solutions.
Before StrategyWorks, Liz worked for the European Commission in London; in marketing with one of the ‘big eight’ accounting firms; and as a client account handler with an international advertising agency. Liz holds a BA (Hons) European Studies (Bath); a post-graduate Diploma in Journalism (City, London); and a Masters with distinction in Digital Media (Sussex). She speaks German and Italian and has conversational French.
